Develop Key Enterprise Skills – Join the Enterprising Business Awards
 
Are you interested in exploring enterprise, or developing an enterprise idea?
Do you want to boost your employability, or create your own employment?
 
Then you should get involved in the Enterprising Business Awards (EBA). The EBA is:

  • A certificated programme for students from across the university

  • Designed to help you develop your enterprise skills and ideas

  • An opportunity to get mentoring for your enterprise and business ideas

  • Open to all students and recent graduates – no prior business knowledge is needed

  • Monthly sessions with a like-minded group to challenge and develop your thinking

  • Opportunities to meet entrepreneurs, find funding, and develop your networks

 
Regular sessions provide the opportunity to discover, explore, practice and develop the entrepreneurial mindset.  These include expert input from entrepreneurs and academics, opportunities to develop ideas and apply for funding, and enterprise challenges. Participants will also get the opportunity to network and learn from students across different disciplines.
 
Participation can also earn you a Certificate as evidence of your activity and commitment to add to your employment portfolio.
  
The first session of the awards programme is Wednesday 12 October 2012 from 2.30pm, at Kingston University, Penrhyn Road PRJG1002 register here.

MA Kingston Show 2011, Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture

They are a small practice and their work is mainly residential for local private clients, but they also do residential development and commercial work, and some school alteration projects across South West London and Surrey.


The Year Out position is full time and lasts until September 2012. Salary £15,000 p.a.

Morse Webb Architects         are a small practice, with seven architects, operating from their barn premises between Reading and Newbury. Having just merged with another Practice, Solway Brown, they have an interesting workload with a particular focus on hi-end residential projects (one off houses etc) and independent school works (theatres, Art & DT, teaching facilities, boarding houses etc). 


They are looking to employ a Part 1 student with excellent graphic presentation skills for their year out. GHM Rock Townsend is looking for an enthusiastic, talented and dedicated Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join their design-led studio in central London. As an AJ Top 100 practice, they are looking for an exceptional all-rounder with superb design, technical, organisational, teamworking and communication skills.
 
The successful candidate will provide support to a young, dynamic architectural team and will be actively involved in all RIBA Stages over a range of projects. Candidates should display technical ability and a desire to utilise and develop their knowledge and expertise through active participation in conceptual and detailed design, as well as on-site experience.
 
Fluency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite Revit Architecture and Microsoft Office. SketchUp and other 3D visualisation packages would also be an advantage.

Three month funded internship in Andalucia, Spain for an architecture student who has just completed their degree or diploma

Renaisi has recently obtained EU Lifelong Learning Programme funding, which will provide three Kingston architecture graduates with a 13 week  fully funded internship in Andalucia, Spain, working within the vocational area of Environmental Sustainability.

In order to qualify you must be under 30 years of age.  You must just have completed your architecture degree or diploma. Spanish language skills are not essential.
