Kingston School of Architecture & Landscape Show continues

The Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture end of year Show at Knights Park has now closed but work from the School of Architecture & Landscape, in the reception space and canteen,  will remain up until the end of June.

McLaren are looking  for a part-qualified Architect or Interior Designer.

 Salary of approx £24K plus benefits. Applications by 12th June 2011. 
 
Professional skills and knowledge: To be considered, you must be able to demonstrate good AutoCAD LT 2007 (or later) skills with an ability to generate 3D images. A knowledge and understanding of mechanics and/or electrics and Solid Works would also be useful, but not essential.
 
Personal  attributes: You should be an enthusiastic ‘all rounder’ who will take advantage of the opportunities presented by this unique environment, and be able to demonstrate:
 
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* An enjoyment of challenges…and the ability to work under pressure.
* The ability to work on several projects at the same time.
* A positive and ‘grounded/can do’ attitude.
* A flexible approach to working hours.
 
You would be employed as an AutoCAD Operator, reporting to the Building Projects Manager on a 11-month fixed term contract. The role is a fixed-term contract for one year, with a probation period of 3 months.
 
Salary approximately £24k + employee benefits, which include 25 days holiday, private medical insurance and eligibility for the car and pension scheme after 6 months.
 
Based in the Norman Foster designed Technology Centre, there are very good staff facilities, including a fitness centre and pool on site.
 
Woking Station is 20 minutes from Clapham Junction by train. There are regular shuttle buses running to and from the Technology Centre.

Work experience for a Graphic Designer to work with the London Arts Orchestra

The London Arts Orchestra is an exciting new orchestra which combines orchestral music with other art forms. Their performances feature actors, dancers, comedians, artists and historians.

The London Arts Orchestra  (a registered charity) are looking for a graphic designer who would like to gain some experience over the summer. The role will involve creating material, with an overall look and concept, to support the London Arts Orchestra's upcoming season of concerts. This will include: six concert posters, an education workshop leaflet, a season brochure for all events and further developing the website, logo and online content.

The London Arts Orchestra  are hoping to find are hoping to find someone  with creativity, an awareness of marketing, energy and a passion for music. They will offer a dynamic start up environment and flexible working hours but this role will be on a volunteer/work experience basis.

Intern required over the summmer to help develop a pilot website for company based in central London

A small team of 'would be entrepreneurs', working on an idea for a new revolutionary web based P2P service, are looking to enlist  a talented post-graduate student in graphics/creative design as an intern. 

The role will be to help develop the company’s new website working from the initial concept brain-storming to the development of a pilot. It is anticipated that the person will be required once a week (about 4-5 hours) for about 5-6 weeks until the pilot website design is completed.

The company are looking for a talented  and dynamic student, who while being great at graphics design, is not afraid to experiment. He/she will be mentored/supported by one of the co-founders who was an IT director at one of the index trading organisations in the City of London. The internship will hopefully help him/her add valuable experience to their CV.

All the meetings/discussions/development processes will be held in central London and all reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
